Liverpool youngster Andre Wisdom has insisted that he will take criticism from manager Brendan Rodgers "on the chin".
The 19-year-old defender was one of the players in the line for some harsh words from Rodgers after the embarrassing exit from the FA Cup against Oldham.
Wisdom has revealed that he respects what Rodgers says and admits that the performance was not good enough from the side.
"The manager has been singing our praises so we have to respect what he says, even if it is not complimentary," said Wisdom in The Times. "We all know when we have played well or not and we did not do ourselves justice at Oldham, so we have to take the result and the manager's criticism on the chin.
"Everyone takes defeat differently but, in this case, I think I can speak on behalf of everyone at the club by saying none of us were happy.
"We do not like to lose any game. We take every game seriously, whether it is Oldham or Manchester United. But now we have to put this one behind us and look forward."
Wisdom has made 18 appearances for Liverpool this season, scoring one goal.
