Liverpool lineup vs. Crystal Palace: Predicted XI for Premier League clash

A straight swap up top? How Liverpool could line up against Palace

Sports Mole takes an in-depth look at how Liverpool could line up for Saturday's Premier League clash with Crystal Palace.

Liverpool could go four points clear at the top of the Premier League table with victory over Crystal Palace on Saturday lunchtime at Selhurst Park, where Arne Slot may only be without one or two players.

The Reds sank Bologna 2-0 in Wednesday's Champions League battle, which Harvey Elliott (foot) and Federico Chiesa (unspecified) both missed, and the latter is still a major doubt for the 12.30pm kickoff.

Slot has a fully-fit squad otherwise, and even if Chiesa was fit, Mohamed Salah - now the first Liverpool player to score in five successive Champions League home games - was always expected to start on the right wing.

Dominik Szoboszlai and Luis Diaz - still holding off the threat of Cody Gakpo - ought to reprise their attacking roles too, but Slot may be tempted to swap out Darwin Nunez for Diogo Jota once again.

Nunez (illness) and Jota (foot) both recovered from their afflictions in time to face Bologna, but the Uruguayan was only on the pitch for 61 minutes and is at risk of making way for his Portuguese colleague.

However, neither Alexis Mac Allister nor the revitalised Ryan Gravenberch are at risk of dropping out of the team, and the same goes for Trent Alexander-Arnold, Alisson Becker, Ibrahima Konate and Virgil van Dijk in defence.

Kostas Tsimikas is in with a slight chance of displacing Andy Robertson, who took a blow in the recent win over Wolverhampton Wanderers, but the Scotsman was fit enough to start on Wednesday and will likely hold his place.

Liverpool possible starting lineup:
Alisson; Alexander-Arnold, Konate, Van Dijk, Robertson; Gravenberch, Mac Allister; Salah, Szoboszlai, Diaz; Jota
