Sports Mole looks at how Liverpool could line up in Wednesday's Premier League clash with Newcastle United.

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp could name an unchanged side for Wednesday's Premier League clash with Newcastle United at Anfield.

The Reds will again be missing Diogo Jota, Joel Matip, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Ibrahima Konate, Calvin Ramsay and Naby Keita for the game with Eddie Howe's side.

Darwin Nunez is also still suspended, while the match is likely to come too soon for Curtis Jones and Thiago Alcantara despite both players making strong progress in their recoveries.

Klopp said after Saturday's 9-0 win over Bournemouth that the substitution of Harvey Elliott was only a precaution, so the midfielder should be available to start once again.

Roberto Firmino starred in the clash with the Cherries, scoring twice and providing three assists, and he is again expected to line up in the middle of the attack.

Mohamed Salah was a notable absentee from the scoresheet against Scott Parker's side, so the Egypt international will be fired up to get among the goals in this contest.

Fabio Carvalho impressed off the bench at the weekend, but the summer arrival from Fulham is again likely to be among the substitutes for this contest.

Joe Gomez has benefited from the injuries to Matip and Konate, and the Englishman should continue in central defence alongside Virgil van Dijk.

Liverpool possible starting lineup: Alisson; Alexander-Arnold, Gomez, Van Dijk, Robertson; Elliott, Fabinho, Henderson; Salah, Firmino, Diaz
