Kolo Toure: 'Liverpool are behind Brendan Rodgers'

Liverpool defender Kolo Toure believes that Brendan Rodgers will turn the club's fortunes around.

Liverpool defender Kolo Toure has said that it is "crazy" that Brendan Rodgers's future at the club is being questioned.

The Reds manager has come under fire following his side's slow start to the season, which includes seven Premier League defeats and a group-stage exit from the Champions League.

Toure believes that the criticism of Rodgers has been harsh considering that he was just two points short of guiding Liverpool to their first title in 24 years last season.

"It's crazy to even talk about his future," the Belfast Telegraph quotes Toure as saying.

"He's a great manager and we know that. Just look at how fantastic he did last season.

"We're all behind him and we're all trying to make things better. He's a great manager. We all love him."

Liverpool are currently 11th in the table.
