Ajax have confirmed that they have received a bid for defender Toby Alderweireld.
The Belgian has been linked with Everton, Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur this summer, after rejecting a move to Norwich City.
Director of football Marc Overmars refused to identify the club, but did admit that a deal was likely to be agreed, as it was with the Canaries.
"We have received an offer," Overmars told De Telegraaf.
"We won't give any names as we are still in talks.
"But, just like Norwich City earlier, I expect we can work out a deal with this club."
Alderweireld has only one year left on his contract and has previously stated his desire to move to England or Germany.
