Rafael Benitez to move for Daniel Agger in summer?

Rafael Benitez will attempt to bring Daniel Agger to Napoli in the summer, according to reports.

Napoli manager Rafael Benitez has decided to raid former club Liverpool in a bid to sign Daniel Agger, according to reports.

Benitez is believed to still be an admirer of the central defender after bringing him to Anfield in 2006 during his time in charge at the club.

Brendan Rodgers is expected to be given a big transfer budget in the summer, and he is rumoured to be eager to strengthen his defence.

According to The Express, Benitez will lead the race to sign Agger if Rodgers decides against keeping the Dane in his squad as they prepare to return to the Champions League.

Agger has started 15 times in the Premier League this season.
