Everton are reportedly prepared to rival Liverpool in the race to sign Lille winger Nicolas Pepe.

Lille winger Nicolas Pepe has reportedly emerged as a potential transfer target for Everton.

Pepe is attracting attention from a number of top European clubs after contributing 22 goals and 11 assists in Ligue 1 last season.

Liverpool have been linked with an approach for the Ivory Coast international, although it appears that their Merseyside rivals are also prepared to get involved in the race for the player's signature.

According to The Telegraph, Everton are considering making an offer for the 24-year-old, despite knowing that they would have to shell out in the region of £60m.

The Toffees may continue to remain as outsiders, however, with Bayern Munich also said to be monitoring the situation.
