Southampton midfielder Mario Lemina says that he is not currently interested in any speculation regarding his future at St Mary's.

Midfielder Mario Lemina has said that he is only focused on trying to keep Southampton in the Premier League rather than speculation regarding his next move.

Lemina is currently nearing the end of his first season at St Mary's but the future of the Gabon international remains unclear, with the south coast outfit sitting in the bottom three of the Premier League table.

However, despite suggestions that Liverpool may be interested in his signature, Lemina wants to concentrate on ensuring that Southampton stay in the top flight.

The 24-year-old is quoted by the Daily Echo as saying: "The club have given me everything to perform and I need to give back with all my heart to win the last three games.

"When you join a team I don't think you can expect to try to fight to save yourself. We don't talk about ourselves, we talk about the club and we just have to save the club.

"After everyone can make a decision to stay or leave. This is not my problem, my only problem is to win the last few games and save the team. We have to save the club because it deserves to stay in the Premier League."

Lemina has made 19 starts and five substitute outings in the Premier League.
