Liverpool 'join race for in-demand Nicolas Pepe'

Liverpool join the race for Lille attacker Nicolas Pepe in this summer's transfer window, according to a report.

Liverpool have reportedly joined the race for Lille attacker Nicolas Pepe.

Pepe has enjoyed a fine 2018-19 campaign at Lille, finding the back of the net on 20 occasions in 35 appearances in all competitions, in addition to contributing 14 assists.

Chelsea and Arsenal have both been linked with moves for the 23-year-old, but according to Le10Sport, Liverpool have joined the race for the Ivory Coast international ahead of this summer's transfer window.

Lille president Gerard Lopez recently confirmed that Pepe would be leaving his Ligue 1 side this summer, but there is an asking price of £68.8m.

Bayern Munich have also previously been credited with an interest in the in-demand attacker.
