Liverpool 'keen on Standard Liege teenager Thibaud Verlinden'

Liverpool are keen on signing Standard Liege's 15-year-old midfielder Thibaud Verlinden, according to reports.

Liverpool are reportedly interested in signing Standard Liege youngster Thibaud Verlinden.

The 15-year-old midfielder has come to prominence in Belgium's Under-16 team, and the Daily Mail claims that the player is keen on a move to Anfield.

Verlinden, whose father Dany played for Club Brugge as a keeper, has fuelled speculation of a possible switch to the Merseyside giants by retweeting a tweet from journalist Kristof Terreur, which suggested that Liverpool were keen on signing the teenager.

However, it is thought that no deal has been agreed with Liverpool for Verlinden.

The Reds threw away a lead to draw 2-2 with Ludogorets Razgrad in the Champions League on Wednesday.
