Liverpool are reportedly still determined to sign Bayern Munich midfielder Ryan Gravenberch this summer.
The Reds are expected to overhaul their midfield this summer, with Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Naby Keita and James Milner all expected to leave when their contracts expire in June.
Up until recently, Borussia Dortmund star Jude Bellingham was at the top of their list of transfer targets, but they have decided to pull out of the race to sign the Englishman.
With Bellingham set to command a significant fee, Liverpool were reluctant to spend the majority of their budget on one player.
Instead, the Reds are looking to sign at least two midfielders this summer, and Gravenberch has emerged as a potential option.

The Dutchman has struggled to establish himself in the Bayern side since joining the club last summer.
With the likes of Joshua Kimmich and Leon Goretzka above him in the pecking order, Gravenberch has started just four of his 27 competitive appearances this summer.
The Netherlands international is keen to increase his playing time, and Liverpool are willing to offer him a way out of Bayern.
However, Thomas Tuchel's side have reportedly indicated that they are not prepared to let Gravenberch leave just a year after signing him from Ajax.
According to Football Insider, Liverpool are not ready to give up their pursuit and are willing to test Bayern's resolve this summer.

The Reds believe Gravenberch that fits the "profile" of their ideal midfielder, and they are hopeful a deal can be struck with the Bundesliga champions.
A recent report claimed that the Dutchman was open to the prospect of joining the Merseyside club this summer.
Liverpool have also been linked with a number of other midfield targets, including Mason Mount, Alexis Mac Allister, Moises Caicedo and Matheus Nunes.
As well as bolstering his midfield option, Jurgen Klopp is also looking to bring in a right-back during the summer transfer window.
