Liverpool to make two signings this summer?

Liverpool could bring two new players to the club during this summer's transfer window, according to a report.

Liverpool could still reportedly bring two new players to the club during this summer's transfer window despite missing out on a deal for RB Leipzig's Timo Werner.

The Reds had been strongly linked with a move for Werner before it was confirmed that Chelsea had won the race for the Germany international.

The European champions are likely to feel the financial impact of the coronavirus outbreak, but according to The Athletic, the club could still make two new signings this summer.

The report claims that the Merseyside giants could bring a new forward to the club as they face being without both Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane next January due to the Africa Cup of Nations.

This summer's transfer window could allegedly run until October, allowing clubs to focus on making new signings once the 2019-20 campaign has been finished.

Jurgen Klopp's side need just two victories to guarantee themselves the Premier League title and will return to action following the lockdown period against local rivals Everton on Sunday night.
