Liverpool and Everton are reportedly monitoring the progress of South American youngster Gustavo Viera.

Liverpool and Everton have reportedly registered an interest in signing South American youngster Gustavo Viera.

Coincidentally, the 16-year-old already represents Liverpool - who are based in Uruguay - but it appears that he could potentially have another association with the name in the upcoming months.

According to The Sun, scouts from both Merseyside clubs have been monitoring the progress of the player who has been playing for Uruguay's Under-17 side.

It has been claimed that Barcelona could also be in the running to sign Viera, who holds a European passport.
