Report: Jordon Ibe edges closer to new Liverpool contract

Liverpool winger Jordon Ibe is reportedly set to sign a new long-term deal at the club.

Jordon Ibe is close to signing a new contract at Liverpool, according to reports.

The 19-year-old broke through the first team earlier this season, but his progress has been stunted by a knee injury he suffered in February.

The Daily Mail reports that Liverpool offered Ibe a new long-term deal a couple of months ago and he plans to put pen to paper in the coming days.

Ibe could return from injury against Newcastle United tonight.
