Liverpool are reportedly interested in signing Barcelona defender Martin Montoya in the January transfer window.
It is understood that the Spaniard has been told that he can leave the Camp Nou in early 2015, with his current contract close to expiration.
According to talkSPORT, a number of European clubs are interested in a move, but Liverpool lead the race for the full-back, who is expected to be available for a cut-price figure in the winter window.
Montoya, 23, has been with Barcelona since 1999, but has only made 38 first-team appearances for the Catalan outfit.
