Report: Arsenal, Tottenham Hotspur join Dani Alves race

A report claims that Barcelona defender Dani Alves is a January target for both Tottenham Hotspur and Arsenal.

North London rivals Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur have reportedly joined the race for Barcelona right-back Dani Alves.

The Brazilian, who has also been linked with Manchester United, is close to entering the final six months of his contract at Camp Nou.

It is believed that the defender wants to remain with Barca, but talks over a new deal have stalled, with a move away in January now a serious possibility.

According to The Times, Arsenal and Spurs have both made their interest known, but face competition from around Europe.

Alves joined Barca from Sevilla in 2008.
