Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly ready to rival Liverpool in the race for Trabzonspor goalkeeper Ugurcan Cakir.

Tottenham Hotspur boss Jose Mourinho is reportedly keen to sign Trabzonspor goalkeeper Ugurcan Cakir.

While Hugo Lloris has been the long-term number one at the North London outfit, Spurs may soon have to find a long-term replacement for the 33-year-old.

According to Fotomac, this has resulted in Cakir emerging as a potential arrival at the Premier League outfit in the summer.

The report claims that the 24-year-old has an admirer in Mourinho, who is seemingly keen to give himself another option between the sticks ahead of the next campaign.

Cakir has emerged as one of the top stoppers in Europe, helping put Trabzonspor in contention for their first Turkish title since 1984.

Liverpool have also been linked with an approach for Cakir since the beginning of the season.
