David Villa speaks of his happiness at Barcelona, distancing himself from a move to Liverpool.

Barcelona forward David Villa has said that he is "happy and settled" at the Nou Camp amid reports of a move to Liverpool.

The Anfield side have been heavily linked with the Spanish international who is struggling for minutes under Pep Guardiola. However, he has now spoken of his happiness in Catalonia.

"Here I am very happy and settled in the team, especially if the coach speaks well of you. I know my work and I know how I can help team," El Mundo quotes the 29-year-old as saying.

He faces competition to start in the European champions' side from the likes of Lionel Messi, Pedro and Alexis Sanchez, while Cesc Fabregas has also been playing in an advanced role.

Villa has scored just five times this campaign.
