Lorient's chairman insists that Jeremie Aliadiere is too important to the club to sell.

Lorient president Loic Fery has denied that striker Jeremie Aliadiere will be sold this summer, indicating that he is a "very important" part of the future of the club.

Fery said that he does not expect much transfer activity in France this window, aside from the big-spending Paris Saint-Germain and Monaco.

"There will be some movement in the transfer market with Monaco and PSG, but for the rest of the clubs, who look for players in the range of £4m to £12m, I don't think a lot will be happening," Fery told Ligue1.com.

"Aliadiere is our most sought-after player, but he still has two years on his contract. We've always said that we have no players to sell.

"We're happy about this fact and there is no question that Jeremie is a very important player in the scheme of things at Lorient. There is no particular figure to evaluate his price when were not interested in selling. We spoke with him at the end of the season; he's a true professional, with a lot of respect for and a deep attachment to Lorient."

Aliadiere netted 15 times for Lorient last season.
