Les Gones currently occupy the final qualifying place.

Bruno Genesio expects his Lyon side to have a difficult match at Marseille as they look to consolidate their place in the Champions League spots.

Lyon currently occupy the last of the qualifying positions, just one point above St Etienne in fourth, with two wins from their last three matches.

With three games left to play in Ligue 1, the head coach has stressed the importance of winning at Marseille.

Genesio told ol.fr: "A win would put us in a perfect position to finish the job next week.

"We are expecting a very difficult match. For us, the goal is to go for qualifying for the Champions League.

"I do not know what atmosphere to expect but I think the Marseille fans will be behind their team.

"We must ignore all these things that we do not control and focus on our game, our principles, our organisation, our discipline.

"The mental aspect will be vital."

Lyon will be without Jason Denayer with a knee problem and Kenny Tete, who sustained a sprained ankle.

Marseille boss Rudi Garcia wants his side to believe they can qualify for the Europa League despite being seven points and two places behind St Etienne.

Garcia told om.net: "Football has demonstrated this week that miracles can take place. So we must continue to believe it.

"It would take a miracle to snatch (a place in) Europe, but as long as it's mathematically possible, you have to give it your all.

"I prepare for the match with the highest amount of professionalism and full of energy."

The head coach spoke of the importance of the supporters on Sunday, adding: "We will need support. We will play to defend the colours of our club, that's what drives us."

Garcia could be without trio Florian Thauvin, Bouna Sarr and Adil Rami for the clash with Lyon.
