Carles Puyol: 'Nothing between Manchester City, Barcelona'

Barcelona defender Carles Puyol believes that his side will be evenly matched when they travel to Manchester City in the Champions League this week.

Barcelona defender Carles Puyol has claimed that there won't be much difference between the sides when they face Manchester City in the Champions League.

The La Liga champions visit the Etihad Stadium on Tuesday evening for the first leg of the last-16 tie.

"In front of us we will have a very good team with great players," Puyol told Barcelona's official website."

"But we will go into this at a good time and I think the sides will be closely matched. Against Rayo Vallecano, we played very well against a team that has come to Camp Nou to play.

"They forced us to constantly play with a lot of intensity. Now comes the biggest ask of the season - we are confident we can face the heat."

Barca beat Rayo 6-0 on Saturday evening to regain top spot in La Liga.
