Team News: Gael Clichy, Aleksandar Kolarov both start for Manchester City against Barcelona

Both Gael Clichy and Aleksandar Kolarov start for Manchester City against Barcelona in tonight's Champions League last-16 first leg against Barcelona.

Manchester City manager Manuel Pellegrini has selected both Gael Clichy and Aleksandar Kolarov for tonight's Champions League last-16 first leg against Barcelona.

Both left-backs, Kolarov is expected to start in a more advanced left-midfield position.

Pellegrini has also gone with a rare five-man midfield, leaving Alvaro Negredo on his own up front.

Visitors Barcelona leave Neymar on the bench as Gerardo Martino makes two changes in defence to his side from the weekend thumping over Rayo Vallecano.

Javier Mascherano and Jordi Alba are back in place of Carles Puyol and Adriano.

City: Hart; Zabaleta, Kompany, Demichelis, Clichy; Navas, Toure, Fernandinho, Kolarov; Silva; Negredo
Subs: Pantilimon, Lescott, Richards, Garcia, Nasri, Jovetic, Dzeko

Barca: Valdes; Alves, Pique, Mascherano, Alba; Xavi, Busquets; Fabregas, Iniesta, Sanchez; Messi
Subs: Pinto, Bartra, Adriano, Song, Sergi Roberto, Pedro, Neymar
