Half-Time Report: Sergio Aguero levels for Manchester City

Sergio Aguero cancels out Charlie Austin's goal to leave Manchester City level at 1-1 with Queens Park Rangers at Loftus Road.

Manchester City have headed into half time level at 1-1 with Queens Park Rangers after trailing early on at Loftus Road in the Premier League this evening.

Charlie Austin thought that he had opened the scoring just eight minutes in when he headed past Joe Hart from close range, but the assistant referee ruled it out for offside.

The striker had the ball in the back of the net again just a minute later, but that too was disallowed after Hart's free kick from the offside was touched twice, giving him the chance to take it again.

Austin finally got on the scoresheet just over 20 minutes in when a slip from Gael Clichy allowed the visitors back into the box, with Austin slotting the ball into the bottom corner.

Yaya Toure also got the visitors back on level terms when he tried to curl the ball in from the edge of the box, but his effort just missed the top corner.

The champions were level again just after the half-hour mark though, as Sergio Aguero rounded a couple of defenders before blasting the ball past Rob Green, despite appeals from QPR for a handball against the striker.

Aguero and Toure both had chances to put City ahead before the break, while Austin forced another save from Hart just before half time, but neither side could edge ahead.
