Manchester City will be looking to make a swift return to winning ways in the Premier League when they take on newly-promoted Leeds United at Elland Road on Saturday.
Pep Guardiola's side fell to a chastening 5-2 home defeat at the hands of Leicester City in their last top-flight outing, although they showed no ill-effects from that when cruising into the quarter-finals of the EFL Cup at Burnley's expense on Wednesday night.
City did not make quite as many changes as expected for their trip to Turf Moor with Guardiola facing a lengthy injury list, although he was able to welcome Bernardo Silva back ahead of schedule and hand a first appearance of the season to Aymeric Laporte.

In theory Ilkay Gundogan should have now completed his mandatory 10-day isolation period after testing positive for coronavirus, but whether he immediately returns to the squad remains to be seen.
