Former England goalkeeper Richard Wright has called time on his playing career following a spell with Manchester City, in which he failed to make a single appearance.
The 38-year-old spent this season behind Joe Hart and Willy Caballero in the pecking order, and opted to retire after the Sky Blues' final Premier League match of the campaign.
Wright spent four years at the Etihad Stadium and earned £7,000 a week there, according to the Daily Mail.
The shot-stopper had more fruitful spells with Ipswich Town and Everton earlier in his career and earned two international caps with the Three Lions.
