Manchester City are reportedly poised to announce the appointment of new manager Manuel Pellegrini as early as Monday.
The Chilean coach has been widely tipped to replace Roberto Mancini, who was sacked almost four weeks ago, at the Etihad Stadium.
It is understood that a contract is close to being completed, subject to relevant paperwork, with an announcement expected to be made early next week, according to Sky Sports News.
Reports have claimed that Pellegrini, who is not expected to arrive at City until pre-season on July 5, will welcome Jesus Navas and Brazilian midfielder Fernandinho as the club's first two summer signings.
