Watford manager Quique Flores has revealed that Pep Guardiola gushed about the Premier League when the pair met at a function last year.
Guardiola will get his first taste of England's top flight when he takes over from Manuel Pellegrini at Manchester City in the summer.
After announcing his intention to leave Bayern Munich, Guardiola made it clear that his desire was to coach in England.
"Can Pep dominate here as well? For sure," Flores told reporters. "The most important thing for Pep is to come here and translate his method and ideas for a completely different league, but he will be amazing in the Premier League.
"At our meeting, Pep told me 'I can feel you enjoy it' and wanted to be in the same league. I know what he is thinking, he is very clear.
"When you are at this level, we want to train in these leagues. You don't need to recommend. Pep follows everything. He loves the Premier League and wants to spend a long time here."
Guardiola has won 19 trophies in eight years of management.
