Malaga defender Jesus Gamez has refused to comment on reports that coach Manuel Pellegrini will leave the club this summer.
The Chilean boss will reportedly quit the Spanish club and take charge of Manchester City next season.
"I do not believe that is anything we need to comment on," ESPN quotes Gamez as saying.
"If you ask me about my future, I will answer. The boss must make his own decisions. Some things have been uncertain, and bit by bit they are being cleared up."
Gamez added that the future of Malaga, who have struggled with financial problems throughout this season, is now in the hands of club owner Abdullah Al-Thani.
"The future is not in our hands but in those of the owner," he said. "There were some very big hopes, but they have not been fulfilled.
"We had played a great season and will do everything to close it off. We have to wait, we have done everything possible, but it does not depend on us anymore."
Malaga reached the quarter-finals of the Champions League in their debut campaign this term.
