Pep Guardiola and David Silva reportedly clash in the dressing room following Manchester City's shock 2-0 defeat to Wolverhampton Wanderers in the Premier League.

Pep Guardiola reportedly clashed with David Silva following Manchester City's shock 2-0 defeat to Wolverhampton Wanderers at the Etihad on Sunday.

Two goals on the break from Adama Traore consigned City to their second defeat of the Premier League season, leaving them eight points behind leaders Liverpool.

Silva, who is now 33, has made the decision to leave Manchester next summer following nine seasons at the club.

According to The Mirror, Guardiola launched a tirade at the Spaniard in the dressing room for not running enough when City were chasing the game.

The Catalan boss is understood to have also expressed frustration with Silva following City's 2-2 draw with Tottenham Hotspur back in August.

City's defeat to Nuno Espirito Santo's side marks the club's first league defeat at home since losing 3-2 to Crystal Palace in December 2018.
