Pep Guardiola considering Manchester City sabbatical?

Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola is reportedly considering a 12-month sabbatical at the end of next season.

Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola may reportedly take a 12-month sabbatical at the end of the next campaign.

Guardiola's third year at the Etihad Stadium ended with City securing the domestic treble, something which had not previously been achieved by a men's team in English football.

However, the Champions League continued to remain elusive to the North-West giants, and that will continue to be their main focus going forward.

According to the Daily Star, Guardiola will consider leaving City in 12 months' time if the club can end their wait to win the competition.

The report claims that the Spaniard may view success in the Champions League as the ideal time to take a break before moving onto a fresh challenge.

Guardiola currently has two years remaining on his City contract.
