Norwich City boss Paul Lambert says that Manchester City are "frightening" after they beat the Canaries 5-1.

Norwich City boss Paul Lambert has described Manchester City as "frightening" following his team's 5-1 defeat at the Ethiad on Saturday.

Goals from Sergio Aguero, Samir Nasri, Toure Yaya, Mario Balotelli and Adam Johnson proved too much for the Canaries, who clawed one back via Steve Morison 10 minutes from time.

"It's a frightening squad he's got here," Lambert said. "You have to hold your hands up and say we were beaten by the better side.

"They're a great side, their movement is absolutely top class. Manchester City deserved to win, there's no getting away from that. But maybe five was a bit harsh.

"We tried to keep going at 3-1 but we made mistakes and teams like this will punish you."

Norwich are currently 11th in the Premier League, with 16 points from 14 games.
