Man City record a routine 5-1 win over Norwich to remain unbeaten at the top of the Premier League.

Manchester City remain unbeaten at the top of the Premier League after a routine 5-1 win over Norwich at the Etihad Stadium this afternoon.

Sergio Aguero broke the deadlock for the hosts just after the half-hour mark, cleverly weaving through the Canaries defence to slot past John Ruddy.

Samir Nasri doubled the advantage minutes after the restart, firing a free kick from 30 yards towards Ruddy, who palmed the ball into his own net.

Gnegneri Toure Yaya got his name on the scoresheet on 67 minutes, netting from just inside the penalty area.

Paul Lambert's side did manage the feat of scoring at Eastlands but it proved to be little more than consolation when a Steve Morison header overcame Joe Hart ten minutes from time.

Mario Balotelli, on for Aguero, restored the home advantage in the dying minutes, then Adam Johnson made it five one minute into injury time.

Next up for Norwich is a home encounter with high-flying Newcastle next Saturday, while City's next league fixture is a trip to Stamford Bridge a week on Monday.
