Manchester City manager Roberto Mancini has said that forward Carlos Tevez will be better than ever next season, hinting the Argentinian will still be a Blue come autumn.
Tevez infamously went AWOL earlier this season after falling out with Mancini for seemingly refusing to warm up during a Champions League fixture in Munich.
However, he has recently made a return to the City side and has helped the club heap pressure on title rivals Manchester United by netting four goals in three games, and Mancini thinks this return to form may be the tip of the iceberg.
"I think he can find his best form next season, after pre-season," the Italian said.
When asked if that meant he wanted to keep Tevez, who is widely expected to leave in the summer, Mancini responded: "I think he has a contract with Manchester City, but I don't think in this moment it is important to talk about the future for everyone."
