Manchester City midfielder James Milner had praised teammate Sergio Aguero's "superb" impact during the derby at Old Trafford.

The Argentina international clinched the winning goal in City's 2-1 victory over Manchester United, closing the gap in the Premier League title race to 12 points.

"He is not bad is he?" Sky Sports News quotes Milner as saying. "He is so sharp when you get him in around the box, him and Carlos [Tevez] together up front.

"He is so sharp around the box. His composure and his finish at the end was superb. It gave us a deserved win."

While City are unlikely to pip United to the title, the North-West outfit are in contention for the FA Cup, with a semi-final against Chelsea lined up.
