Wayne Rooney and Robin van Persie both start for Manchester United in their derby clash with Manchester City.

Rooney returns to Sir Alex Ferguson's starting lineup after missing their 1-0 win over Sunderland last week.

Rio Ferdinand and Phil Jones come into the team to replace Nemanja Vidic and Chris Smalling in central defence, while Shinji Kagawa and Anderson make way for Ryan Giggs and Rooney.

City boss Roberto Mancini has made two changes from his team that beat Newcastle United 4-0 last time out.

James Milner and Matija Nastasic come into the lineup and they replace Edin Dzeko and Joleon Lescott.
