Manchester City players have reportedly been informed that their new manager will be in place when they return from their post-season tour of the United States.
Roberto Mancini was sacked earlier this week after two-and-a-half years at the club despite them finishing second in the Premier League this season.
Reports suggest that the Italian's replacement at City will be Malaga coach Manuel Pellegrini, and he could be manager by the end of next week when the players return from the US, reports the Daily Star.
City finish their Premier League campaign later today when they face Norwich City at the Etihad Stadium.
