Manchester City manager Roberto Mancini praises Edin Dzeko following the striker's winning goal at Fulham.

Manchester City boss Roberto Mancini has said that he is pleased for Edin Dzeko after the striker scored the winner in the Premier League champions' 2-1 win at Fulham.

The Sky Blues boss admitted that he was concerned during the game when his side missed a host of chances, and hit out at the Whites' controversial penalty.

"I think that we played a good game. To win the game we had a lot of chances, but it was a difficult match because we were 1-0 down. I'm very pleased with this," he said.

"For me, it was never a penalty [for Fulham's opener]. But the guys today played a really good game.

"I was worried because we continued to play well and continued to create chances, but didn't score for 87 minutes. I was pleased for Edin to score such an important goal."

City fell behind to a Mladen Petric spot kick, but turned the game around with goals from Sergio Aguero and Dzeko.
