Jack Rodwell completes comeback with Manchester City reserves

Jack Rodwell plays 90 minutes for Manchester City reserves in their win over Rochdale.

Manchester City midfielder Jack Rodwell has returned from injury and completed 90 minutes with the club's reserves.

The former Everton star has missed much of the season with a hamstring injury, but featured in Wednesday evening's penalty shootout win over Rochdale.

"I've missed a lot of football and not had a lot of gametime," Rodwell told the club's website. "I've not trained too much which is why I've played the full 90 minutes tonight. I'm really pleased.

"I'm fit and we'll just see, I've not trained too much but I'm fit and available for selection."

Rodwell has scored two goals in 12 appearances for City since joining to club in 2012.
