Manchester City playmaker Yaya Toure has been named African Player of the Year for a record fourth time in a row.
The Ivorian edged out Nigeria's Vincent Enyeama and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang of Gabon at a ceremony in Lagos to claim the accolade.
Toure has now matched Samuel Eto'o's four gongs but has become the first player to win the prize four times on the spin.
Ghana's Asamoah Gyan and Nigeria's Ahmed Musa made the original five-man list for the award, but did not make it through the first round of votes in December.
Toure scored 20 goals in 35 Premier League appearances for City during their title-winning season last term.
