Manchester City are rumoured to be close to extending Samir Nasri's contract once the playmaker returns to pre-season training.
City's club officials are said to want a four-year extension for the Frenchman as his current contract expires next year.
Although the former Arsenal player had a successful season under Manuel Pellegrini which included scoring in the Carling Cup final, he was omitted from the French national team for this year's World Cup.
He has made 129 appearances for the Manchester club in all competitions scoring a total of 22 goals since he was signed by Roberto Mancini for a reported £25m in 2011.
