Bayern Munich attacker Kingsley Coman insists that Leroy Sane joining the club from Manchester City will not affect his own future should a deal go through.

Kingsley Coman has insisted that talk of Leroy Sane's imminent arrival at Bayern Munich is "not a problem" as he thrives off the competition for a starting spot.

The France international has spent the past five seasons at the Allianz Arena after joining from Juventus as a 19-year-old in 2015, initially on a two-year loan.

Amid strong suggestions that Sane is soon to join Bayern from Manchester City, there has been talk that Coman could head the opposite way.

Barcelona and Real Madrid have also been credited with an interest in the versatile attacker, but he does not feel the need to leave Bavaria in search of regular football.

"If Sane came, it would not be a problem!" he told Bild. "Except if the club says to me that they no longer need me, but I think the club knows what it has in me. The situation of Leroy Sane has nothing to do with my own future.

"When I came to Bayern Munich we had Franck Ribery, Arjen Robben, Douglas Costa and me, and I was still a young player, in front of the legends Ribery and Robben! You can see that that's not a problem for me.

"It is better for the team if there are many players at this level."

Coman has accumulated a combined eight goals and assists in the Champions League and Bundesliga this season across 26 appearances.
