Brazilian side Corinthians confirm that they are interested in a loan deal for Manchester City striker Carlos Tevez.

Corinthians assistant director Duilio Monteiro Alves has revealed that the Brazilian side face a struggle to sign Carlos Tevez on a loan basis as Manchester City stand firm on selling the striker.

Reports claimed this week that the South American outfit are back in the running for the 28-year-old following a failed £40m move last summer.

"From the amounts of money [Man City] are talking about, we won't buy," the Daily Mail quotes Alves as saying. "If we can loan, okay, but it seems that is not their will."

Corinthians are reportedly willing to offer an 18-month loan deal to the Premier League leaders for the Argentina international.
