Brazilian club Corinthians have renewed their interest in signing Manchester City exile Carlos Tevez.
Tevez has been absent from City since going against club orders and flying to his native Argentina last month.
Corinthians were close to signing the 27-year-old in the summer, but a deal worth a reported £40m fell through at the last minute.
Corinthians president Andres Sanchez has now revealed his interest in bringing Tevez back to the club, despite being coy about the striker in recent weeks.
"I want to sign Tevez," Sanchez said. "We are going to hire a top-class player for 2012 and I hope it will be Tevez.
"I don't know how much we would pay but if Tevez decides to move, I'm sure he will play for us."
Tevez scored 25 goals in 38 appearances for Corinthians between 2004 and 2006.
