Manchester City attacker Ferran Torres is reportedly closing in on a transfer to Barcelona in 2022.
La Blaugrana have a public interest in the Spain international and reportedly spoke to his representatives at the Ballon d'Or ceremony earlier this week.
Torres's deal at Man City does not expire until the end of the 2024-25 season, but he is rumoured to have an agreement in principle to join Barcelona next year.
Now, Mundo Deportivo reports that a transfer to Catalonia is 'edging closer', with Barcelona's latest offer not far off City's valuation of the attacker.
The report adds that Pep Guardiola will not stand in Torres's way is the price is right, and a January exit could therefore be on the cards.
Torres - who is expected to remain sidelined until 2022 with a foot injury - boasts 16 goals and four assists from 43 games for Man City across all competitions.
