Manchester City midfielder Emyr Huws has joined Wigan Athletic on a six-month loan deal.
The 19-year-old Welshman is currently on City's pre-season tour of the USA, but he is due to fly back to join his new teammates at the DW Stadium.
Wigan boss Uwe Rosler is convinced that the youngster will be able to thrive during his time with the Championship side.
"City are looking for Emyr to develop and as we have demonstrated in the past, top young players are able to come to us and improve, both on the field with regular playing time, but also off the field in terms of absorbing our first team training culture and discipline and helping them to improve every facet of their professional life," he told the club's official website.
Huws spent the second half of last season on loan at Birmingham City.
