Inter Milan rubbish Stevan Jovetic, Alex Song rumours

Inter chief Piero Ausilio plays down reports linking Stevan Jovetic and Alex Song with moves to San Siro this summer.

Inter Milan sporting director Piero Ausilio has rubbished reports that the Italian giants are negotiating with Manchester City over the sale of Stevan Jovetic.

Jovetic endured an indifferent maiden season in England, with recurring injuries restricting him to just 16 first-team appearances following a £22m move from Fiorentina.

A return to Italy has been mooted for the 24-year-old, but Ausilio says that the Nerazzurri are not planning on signing the Serbia international this summer.

"There is no negotiation for Jovetic," Ausilio told reporters.

"Manchester City bought him only one year ago, paying so much, and now they have no intention of selling him."

Ausilio went on to play down reports linking Barcelona's Alex Song with a switch to San Siro, but admitted that Rubin Kazan midfielder Yann M'Vila is an "opportunity".

"Yann M'Vila? It's an opportunity," the Inter chief added. "He has expressed a satisfaction about coming to Inter. If there is the right conditions with Rubin Kazan, we will take him. And Song? There is nothing."

Jovetic remains contracted to the Citizens until 2018.
