Everton manager Ronald Koeman has said that the Toffees will try to do their transfer business behind the scenes rather than in the public eye.
Manchester City goalkeeper Joe Hart has been linked with a loan move to Goodison Park but when quizzed about the England stopper, Koeman stressed that he would not speak about any negotiations with potential players.
The 53-year-old told reporters: "There are so many players linked to us that today it is Joe Hart, tomorrow it's another. I prefer not to speak about players at other clubs.
"It's not about numbers of new players, it's all about what the team needs, in what positions. That's not stuff for the press. We need to keep that information inside. But one of our jobs is to improve the team."
Koeman has made four signings for the first team since joining the club earlier this summer.
