Leicester City have reportedly told Manchester City that it will take a bid of at least £75m to prise Riyad Mahrez away from the club on deadline day.
The Premier League leaders are understood to have made a late £55m offer for the winger, who has handed in a fresh transfer request at the King Power Stadium in an effort to push through a move.
However, The Mirror reports that Leicester are refusing to budge on their £75m asking price, which would see Man City break their transfer record for the second time in two days.
Pep Guardiola's side brought in Aymeric Laporte from Athletic Bilbao for £57m yesterday, but have re-entered the market after learning that Leroy Sane will be sidelined for around six weeks.
Mahrez is expected to miss this evening's Premier League clash with Everton due to the ongoing speculation over his future, although Leicester are under no pressure to sell the Algerian.
