Manchester City reportedly improve their offer for Juventus defender Joao Cancelo, who continues to be linked with a switch to the Premier League.

Manchester City have reportedly increased their offer for Juventus defender Joao Cancelo.

The Premier League champions have been linked with the Portugal international since the end of the season as they look to strengthen on the right side of their backline.

Cancelo is regarded as a replacement for Danilo, who is said to be looking for first-team football elsewhere after only being used on a rotational basis in two years at the Etihad Stadium.

According to Gazzetta dello Sport, City have now indicated that they are willing to pay £50m in order to complete a deal for the 25-year-old.

Cancelo has only spent one season in Turin, making a total of 25 appearances in Serie A since a transfer from Valencia.
