Manchester City 'still interested in Florentino Luis'

Manchester City remain interested in signing Benfica midfielder Florentino Luis, according to a report.

Manchester City are reportedly continuing to monitor the performances of Florentino Luis ahead of a potential move for the Benfica midfielder at the end of the season.

The English champions were linked with a swoop for the 20-year-old during the recent transfer window.

Meanwhile, Manchester United are also said to be keeping a close eye on the Portugal Under-20 international, who has already made five appearances for Benfica this season.

Despite failing to secure a summer deal, Record reports that City are still eyeing a move for the midfielder, who made his first-team debut for the Eagles in February after impressing for Benfica B.

Pep Guardiola's side boosted their midfield with the signing of Rodri during the summer, although Fernandinho will be out of contract at the end of the season, and talks over a new deal are reportedly yet to begin.
